I went to a podcast training event last Saturday, and with two more to go I’m hopeful that I’ll be more engaged with the power of the voice in a technical and practical way.
This time, we began by listened to snippets of programmes and listing its elements and our view on the piece. It was interesting, and helpful, to distill a 2 minute piece into its constituent parts, whilst being self reflective. The composition of an audio piece can completely change its impact. Whilst the limitation imposed upon us to rely on sonic senses to form our understanding of a space, or subject matter, can push us to creative solutions.
