If just discovered through Kickstarter a project about synesthesia – though I had no idea what synesthesia was – it is a fascinating condition.
Synesthesia means – ‘The production of a sense impression relating to one sense or part of the body by stimulation of another sense or part of the body.’
I think Mr. Holmes short video explains it well – it is a rare condition, and those effected by it are able to literally see sounds, or taste shapes apparently. It sounds almost super human.
I plan to investigate further; exploring, what until now has merely been a colloquial phrase, how we see a sound.
